Plenty of people who land at Çukurova Airport are not staying in Adana or Mersin at all. They are heading to a family home in Antakya, a factory meeting in Gaziantep or a cave hotel in Cappadocia. Our Çukurova Airport intercity transfer is for them: you step off the plane, hand your bags to the driver and get out at your destination door, with no bus terminal, no second flight and no hunt for a connection. The airport's location in Tarsus, halfway between two big cities, turns out to be a real advantage here. East, west and north over the Taurus Mountains all start from the same point.
A long road is a different job from a hotel run. Things that barely matter on a short transfer, like where to stop, how the driver rests, how the luggage is packed and how long kids can cope in the back seat, start to matter a lot over several hours. This page is about those details.
Four directions from the airport: routes we plan most
Look through the EcrinVIP booking log and the long-distance trips fall roughly into four branches. Each has its own personality.
East: Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş. After passing Adana the motorway runs east. Osmaniye sits mid-way; Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş lie further on, firmly in long-distance territory. We also have a branch in Gaziantep, which makes return trips on this line easy to organise, and that flexibility helps guests who need to come back the same day.
South-east: Hatay. Beyond Ceyhan the road drops down to the Gulf of İskenderun and continues to Antakya. Most travellers on this route are visiting family or going for work, and many want a short stop in İskenderun along the way. Mention it at booking and it goes into the plan.
North: Cappadocia. Crossing the Taurus via Pozantı, this is one of the most striking drives in the region. Weather on the high sections can turn in winter, so we check for snow and ice before setting off. Just give us the name of your hotel in Göreme, Ürgüp or Uçhisar.
West: Antalya and Alanya. The Mediterranean coast road through Silifke, Anamur and Gazipaşa is long and winding in places. Beautiful, but tiring. We plan stops in advance on this line and choose the vehicle based on comfort as much as headcount. Holidaymakers whose trip ends in Kızkalesi or Silifke will find a separate holiday transfer page for that stretch.
How a Çukurova Airport intercity transfer gets planned
For a short hop, a flight number and an address usually do the trick. For a long road we need a bit more. The process looks like this:
- We take your flight number, landing date and the full destination address: street or hotel name, not only the city.
- We ask how many passengers and how much luggage. On a long trip, bags that stay out of the cabin are half the comfort.
- We talk through any stops: a meal break, picking up a relative on the way, dropping off documents at an office.
- We check the route and current road conditions, then send a fixed price per vehicle in writing.
- On landing day we follow your flight; if it is late, the driver adjusts and there is no extra charge.
- You are met at arrivals with a name sign and agree with your driver where to take the first break.
The line we read most in booking notes is something like "let's stop somewhere for tea on the way." Sounds minor. On a long road it is exactly what sets the rhythm of the trip.
Comfort on a long drive: breaks, bags and children
Over several hours, how the journey is run matters as much as the car. The Mercedes Vito VIP works well on long routes thanks to wide seats, a separate luggage area and a quiet cabin. Still, no vehicle is comfortable enough to make a non-stop marathon pleasant.
Breaks follow your pace. Your driver will suggest stopping at decent service areas with clean facilities; if you are in a hurry we keep stops short, and if you want to enjoy the ride we can build in a proper lunch. You do not need to plan any of this. Just say when you would like to stop.
Travelling with children? Request a child seat when you book. It is added as an extra and fitted before the car picks you up. For long legs we suggest packing a tablet, a blanket or favourite snacks; there is water in the car, but small passengers do better with their own routines.
On luggage, our only request is honesty. Holiday suitcases, wedding gifts, the occasional box of local produce from Hatay: if we know the volume in advance, we can switch to a Sprinter VIP. Trying to squeeze everything in at the kerb helps no one.
Why door to door beats a trip with connections
There are always alternatives for reaching Hatay, Cappadocia or Gaziantep: a coach from the bus station, a connecting flight, a self-drive rental. Each is reasonable in some cases. Going straight from the airport to the door makes the biggest difference when:
- You are travelling with an elderly relative or small children, for whom changing terminals and hauling bags is a journey of its own.
- Your flight lands late and you do not want to depend on bus timetables.
- You do not know the region and would rather not drive a long road while tired.
- You are on business and want to use the time for calls or paperwork.
- You have more luggage than you would trust to a coach hold.
- You are travelling as a group, since a per-vehicle price drops the cost per head as more people share the car.
That last point gets overlooked. Because the fare is per vehicle rather than per seat, a long-distance transfer for a family of four often turns out far more reasonable than people expect.
The way back: from your destination to the airport
The other half of an intercity transfer is the return. If you are setting off from Antakya or Cappadocia towards Çukurova Airport, we calculate the pickup time backwards from your flight and leave a generous buffer for the uncertainty of a long road. In winter, on routes that cross mountain passes, that buffer grows a little.
We quote one-way and return trips separately. If you already know your return date, planning both together makes life easier for everyone. If not, that is fine too; message us on WhatsApp once the date is set. The EcrinVIP team arranges the car from the nearest branch and sends driver details the evening before your flight.
Çukurova Airport intercity transfer: questions travellers ask
Is there a private transfer from Çukurova Airport to Gaziantep?
Yes, we run door-to-door private transfers from Çukurova Airport to Gaziantep. The route heads east through Adana and Osmaniye, and it is a long drive. Journey time depends on traffic and the breaks you take, so rather than quoting a fixed figure we give you a current estimate when you book. Our Gaziantep branch also makes planning the return straightforward.
Can you drive from Çukurova Airport to Cappadocia in winter?
Yes. The route crosses the Taurus Mountains via Pozantı towards Niğde and then on to Cappadocia. Snow and ice can affect the higher sections in winter, so we check road conditions before departure. If the weather turns seriously bad, we talk it through with you and agree on a new departure time or an adjusted plan together.
Do you stop for breaks on a long-distance transfer?
Yes, breaks are a normal part of the trip. Your driver will suggest suitable service areas along the way, and you can ask to stop whenever you like. If you are short on time we keep breaks brief; if you would prefer a relaxed journey we add a meal stop. Mention any extra stops, such as collecting someone en route, when you book.
Is a long-distance transfer priced per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle, and the price is fixed. Whether you travel alone or with a large family, the amount stays the same. The route, vehicle type, any extra stops and add-ons such as a child seat are what determine the fare. One-way and return trips are quoted separately, and you receive the quote in writing before confirming the booking.
Can we stop in İskenderun on the way from Çukurova Airport to Hatay?
Yes. The Hatay route already runs along the Gulf of İskenderun, so adding a short stop there is easy. Tell us what the stop is for, whether a family visit, a document drop-off or lunch, and we will build it into the price and the plan. Small changes that come up during the drive can be agreed directly with your driver.
Send us your route and we will build the plan
To request a Çukurova Airport intercity transfer, enter your flight number, full destination address, number of passengers and luggage on the booking form, or send them to our WhatsApp line. Add any preferred stops in the same message. The EcrinVIP operations team checks the route and replies with a fixed per-vehicle price and a suggested vehicle. If you know your return date, include it and we will put both legs into one plan.
